On the rare occasion that we are unable to fulfil an enquiry with one of our stock or production engines, we are pleased to offer a Customer Own Unit (COU) remanufacturing service.
 
The Ivor Searle COU service involves collection of the original failed unit and returning it to our production plant in Cambridgeshire where it undergoes an intensive inspection, cleaning and remanufacturing processes, exactly the same as our volume products.  Providing parts are available, COU engines have a 15-20 day turnaround time from receipt and are covered with exactly the same 12-month unlimited mileage warranty as our production remanufactured engines.
 
Our COU engine remanufacturing expertise includes the very latest engines which are not currently available and rare units such as the V10 BMW M5 unit, as well as engines for pre-2000 classic cars such as the Jaguar V12 for the E-Type.  With this in mind, there’s no need to turn away an enquiry for a rare engine and miss out on a potential sale.
