Engine Assembly and Gearbox Operatives

We have vacancies for two roles in our production department. We’re seeking an operative to join our remanufactured engine assembly team and gearbox remanufacturing team. 
 
The engine role involves assembly of a range of petrol and diesel remanufactured engines for light vehicles with up to 4 engines being built simultaneously to an exact specification.
 
Ivor Searle is looking for individuals with a keen knowledge of engines gained through experience in the motor trade, agricultural plant, general plant, or motor sport.
 
The gearbox operative’s duties will include the stripping, inspecting, cleaning, picking of components and assembly of gearboxes, working to build plans and schedules.
 
Previous experience of engineering, machining and/or gearbox work would be an advantage, but not essential as training will be provided.  Ideally we are seeking candidates with a positive attitude who can display the ability to identify solutions to problems.
 
Hours of work for both roles are Monday to Thursday 07:30 to 16:30 and Friday 07:30 to 13:30 (40 hour working week)

Crank Grinder / Machinist

Ivor Searle is seeking a crank grinder/machinist to join our team in the crank remanufacturing department.
 
The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:
 
  • Previous experience of precision engineering or a basic knowledge of machining (in-house training will be provided);
  • Be competent in measuring in both metric and imperial using a micrometer;
  • Be keen to learn and work well within a team environment;
  • Possess a positive attitude and display the ability to identify solutions to problems.

Engine Remanufacturing Operative

A vacancy has arisen for an Engine Remanufacturing Operative to join our production department.
 
Hours of work will be from 07:30 to 16:30 Monday to Thursday and 07:30 to 13:30 on Friday.
 
Ideally, the successful candidate will have previous experience of engineering, machining and/or engine work, possess a positive attitude and display the ability to identify solutions to problems. In-house training will be provided.
